Our Story
The love of metals and metallurgy runs generations deep at Zeco. Our journey began in the late 1980s when Mehboob Alam, a civil engineer by profession, chose to return to his roots and continue the family legacy his forefathers had built for generations — starting with super architect Mohammad Qasim (grandfather) and visionary Abdul Ghani (father).
What started with just one lathe machine, a drill machine, and a couple of power presses on a modest 80-square-yard plot has grown into a well-established steel manufacturing business. By the mid-2000s, Saqib-ul-Ghani (younger brother), previously an accountant at a multinational organization, joined the venture — expanding operations into powder coating and galvanizing.
Today, Zeco employs more than 200 people across four business outlets in Karachi and Hyderabad, serving some of Pakistan's most respected automotive and industrial names.
